Hello guys. In the process of setting up my tank and realized the rodi setup is much harder for me in my new apmt. I dont have hose access, the laundry room is tiny and impractical to use, and none of the faucets seem to be threaded to use.

Therefore the remaining solution ive found is to set it up under the kitchen sink. Only problem is im a complete noob at plumbing. I have the spectrapure 90gpd 4 stage rodi unit. I believe i would need to buy a teevalve and install where the coldwater runs? Ive attached pics for you guys to check out. Seems simple but just want to run it all by you guys before i try my hand at going to home depot and plumbing.

Thanks!

Honestly it might be easier to find a threaded faucet apapter that you could just screw into the kitchen faucet.

Something along the lines of this:

Unscrew the end on your current faucet, and replace it with this when you use the RO/DI.

The issue is both faucets in the apmt are fancy ones like this. I dont think they will work for this will they?

Honestly, my advice is to ask your apartment maintenance person to do it for you. You buy the parts and they do the work... That way if something goes wrong, you aren't on the hook for anything.

Thanks for the responses everyone. So my gf and I think the aerator actually comes off that faucet we just need a tool. We ordered one off amazon and then also got an attachment that should connect to the female end on my RODI unit. Will be mildly annoying to switch back and forth but I probably will prefer that over messing under the sink.

Looks like you need a drain saddle and supply line tee.
you probably have 3/8 or 1/2” supply line

Thanks for this. Ended up buying one of these after we realized no adapter worked that we needed. Not hard at all just daunting if youve never done plumbing before! Finally after two weeks i can get to the fun stuff.

now to make it more presentable lol
