RODI low pressure

Hey there, i have a 150 gpd BRS unit with a booster pump. Decided to get a pressure gauge, psi before pump is 30 and after the pump is 50. I think for the water saving kit it’s recommended to have atleast 60 psi. What else can I do? Would it Help to add another booster pump thanks!

You should be able to change the pressure of the pump. Find the instructions and it will tell you what to do. The Aquatec pump has a small screw on the front that you use an Allen wrench to change the pressure.

I have already tried that. Got about 2 more psi doing that. From my understanding that is a pressure switch if pressure builds up at a certain psi it will allow water to pass through to avoid damaging the pump.

Are you on city water there should be a regulator ether at the meter or at the house where the water comes in. You should be able to turn it up

Hopefully you can get to it easily mine is a pain to get to, also you may have some city fluctuations mine goes down in the summer good luck

water main preasure has nothing to do with it thats why you have a booster. in front of the pump should be a small plug, remove it and adjust your preasure. there are arrows for up or down. should be abl to get 90 psi not that you want that much. 75-80 is good.

Well that's not exactly true most booster pumps require at least 40 psi in front of them.

im on a well and it doesnt kick on untill 30psi. no problem with my booster.

I’ve got the aquatec 8800 and I’m not seeing a plug. There’s a pressure reducing screw but that won’t increase the pressure

mine doesnt have a plug either, just the screw i lowered it to 75 cause it was higher. try turning it and see if it makes a differance. it should go higher than 50

I’ve turned it and that’s what got me to 50psi previously it was at roughly 48psi

My booster pump keeps my system around 90psi but when I bypass the restrictor to flush the membrane my system drops to around 50psi.

It should, I've known people to run theirs as high as 120psi. Are you checking the pressure because you don't think you are getting 150gpd production or did you do it for no reason? I have never checked mine after installing several years ago. I get better water production so never felt the need to invest in a pressure gauge.

thats a good point. mine does the same in bypass.
that aquatec is self priming so no minimum input and is rated at 80 psi. so something is wrong.

Any leaks or drips? Is there an air release valve?.
my washing machine leaks all the time and pressure is lost in my boiler due to this ( in my house)
I assume this unit is the same, the air bubble in pressure gauge wont give accurate readings, is there a way of releasing air like radiators have a valve on

I’ve got the auto flush kit on the system so I never mess with flushing, and nope it’s not bypassing the restrictor
