RODI float valve and waste water line

I manually start and stop my water source
as it fills a 50 gallon container with rodi water.

Looking to add a mechanical float valve to the container, as I recently had a situation where I forgot and woke up to a nice mess in the basement.

Just wondering.. how do I automatically stop the waste water line so I am not constantly wasting water

BRS makes a kit that shuts off all water flow.


Also if it is a BRS RODI, it likely already has the auto shutoff valve and check valve, you just need the float.

A solenoid with pressure shutoff and the float switch should do the trick.

As mentioned above, you can use a hydraulic auto shut off (this is the most common solution):

Or a configuration with a float valve, pressure switch, solenoid valve on the feedwater, and a power supply (my preferred solution):
