Rock with wierd parasite looking things on it from my local LFS

So I went to my lfs to get some filter media and they gave me some 10 year old live rock,
it has a few things on it and they look like parasites, can someone please id? i have seen atleast 4 without looking really hard
i've attached two pictures, anyone has any idea what this is? is it safe

Is that an amphipod?

Your photo is hard to tell, but since I've shared the word, you can go off and research (better photos on internet for your comparison).

I like pods - copepods and amphipods. I'm trying to culture (get/grow more) amphipods:

thank you that's perfect, btw guys i got a jet black live crab in the rock, what should i do? should i get him out and accilimate him to fish tank or what? i'll try and get a picture of him he's just hiding now

When in doubt, remove it. Like I suggested before, the LFS you got it from might know, assuming it was in their tank for a while.
sorry i just got it out of there just right before they closed, got home and tried calling but they were already out
