Here it is, for the Nano in 90 Build! This beautiful tank was won by me and my kids at reefapalooza in Orlando, compliments of Reef2Reef! Thank you Revtree, Revgirl, and all sponsors! We had a great time!!!
The tank is a 29 gal corallife biocube. Right now i have got in running with stock filter pad and bio balls. I am gonna take the bioballs out this week and add a media basket, skimmer, and refugium.I also plan to upgrade the pump. New picture to come tomorrow. I have added a leather, a 3 headed frogspawn frag, and a 2 headed green hammer.
I was finally able to upgrade the cube filtration this weekend. Got rid of the bio balls and added my home built media and refugium baskets. I also added a small biocube protein skimmer. As for the corals, the 3 headed green hammer =$30. 2 headed bicolor frogspawn =$30. Toadstool Leather $10. Total =$70.
Eagle eye Zoa on the sand to the right, still undecided where its gonna go. Mushroom placed on right side. Frogspawn to the far left i am gonna trade for something else in the tank. Anyone in the contest and Miami area interested send me a PM.
Tank doing great! Adding a 13 polyp Mystique Zoa from my collection, a nice 2 polyp unknown ricordia, a small branching green star polyp,and a 3 polyp GOW zoa I can't seem to make happy in my main display. Maybe it will like the nano.
The chaeto sandwich I installed in the refugium is fully grown and full of critters! Time to trim! I will post some full tank pics soon, haven't decided where I'm putting these corals yet.
Allowance was totaling $175
13 p.Mystique Zoa 65
2 p. Unk. Ricordia 40
Branching green polyps 20
3 p. GOW zoa 15

Checking in 2 days before deadline to add livestock! Got some more additions from tank at work and 120 DT. Here they are...
A blue tipped frogspawn 1 polyp = $15 FMV
Green mouth Zoa(unk) 4 p $20 FMV
3 polyp Acan, I considered these as "nice" at $10/p, so, $ 30 FMV.
A 2 head blue hammer $20 FMV
Totaling $ 85 FMV + $315, puts me at $400! Going shopping tomorrow, last $100. I think ill go see joshporksandwich tomorrow for finishing touch zoas! BTW, Mike or Terry, I didn't see Josh on the sponsor list, Is he?
Went to Joshporksandwich today and bought some beautiful zoa frags and a nicely shaped meteor shower. also got small rainbow cloves. Thank you Josh for the nice hook up! So, I'm definately at my allowance of $500, if not let me know, I can always take something out.? I wanted to do something cool as a last final piece to the tank. So I got this pagoda ornament, home to 6, 9 month old Neon Gobies I've been raising, and I glued the frags I bought today to it! The topper, a meteor shower, looks awesome! Other Zoa frags are blue agave/green pe combo, mohawks,a tiny greenbay pac, blowpop zoa, and some rainbow cloves. I glued everything tonight so everything was closed up. I will take pictures on Thursday and post. And Yes, the 6- 1" Neon Gobies are getting a new home!! Zoa Pagoda!!! What a concept!
Love the placement,nice place to live for a family of 6.
Meteor shower
Added vinyl mesh cover to water exit slits to avoid smaller fish from going through into filter area. Water flowing fine , no problems.
This tank is working out really nice! My latest additions placed in the tank 2 days ago have opened up nicely, in order to name them and alot their FMV. So first and foremost;
A Meteor shower shaped like a fire helmet! I love this frag, I cut the top off the pagoda and glued this frag in it's place, I can't wait till it encrust all over that roof!
Before;
After! How's that for home improvement! But the gobies are more interested in the new garden and the abundance of bugs to eat.
Tiny GB packers
All these new frags I attached to the pagoda.My FMV was at $400, I paid $100 for these new frags. Gives me total FMV =$500. I will need to re-evaluate my total FMV, all previous corals came from my personal collection and I might have overshot the FMV. I will produce a list soon.
So here is my final list of livestock with description and FMV. Most corals came from my 120 gal. I did buy the plate and the last batch of corals added attached to the "Zoa Pagoda". My FMV considerations have not been evaluated yet. I was as fair as I could be, I swear, lol! If there is a problem let me know so here it is; Small toadstool leather.......................... $10

Last post for me! I really enjoyed participating in this contest! It was the 1st nano setup for me. The filtration upgrade has been keeping the water very clear and the chaeto in the mini refugium has taken off and is full of bugs. The corals have been doing great too! All the zoa colonies have multiplied as well as other corals. My favorite part of all this was the Zoa Pagoda I placed in there with my own bred neon gobies! Its gonna be neat to see the pagoda grown over with polyps. The one thing I would have liked to have done for this contest was to upgrade the lighting to a retrofit LED system, but I just cant afford it right now. The PC's are working out for now. I also wanted to add a tiny 1" clam but couldnt find one. Well here are the last pics! Good luck to everybody that participated including myself! FTS (front)
