I have an IM 50 lagoon which came with the screen top. I've used it since day 1 after reading plenty of stories of jumpers. Every once in a while I look into it again thinking I'm going to get a different answer, but I always go back to keeping the screen on. I REALLY want to be able to remove it because I love the look without it, but it's just not worth it to me overall...

For those with rimless aquariums, do you add a lid/cover? I’m contemplating a lid in order to add some wrasses, but afraid it will kill the aesthetic of having a rimless aquarium.

Provide reasons for your decision in the comments?
Yes, my IM 75 has it and its rimless. You get used to it.

I had to change out the mesh to 1/4" because the 1/2" was large enough for 2 fish to still jump out. Lost my Splendid Pintail Fairy Wrasse and a Blue Spot Jawfish. It's ALWAYS the expensive fish that jump too.

I want those really awesome Wrasse in my tank more than I care about the look of the screen

Although I have never had a rimless tank, in 30+ years I have learned that there is NO FISH that won't jump for one reason or another. All my tanks (except the fishless frag tank) have DIY screen tops.
