Had the IM 15g lol... didnt use it yet because i forgot about black friday sale so i decided to wait to see if there are good deal

black friday came and got a 20g fusion pro kit for $50 more for an extra 5gal comparing to the 15g and add the same equipment (pump, lid etc) so i thought it a no brainer decision...I sold the 15g for the same money, no loss for me.. it would be my one and done tank because I live in a small condo

So I was thinking of the additional equipment and thought of getting the IM uv light, IM reactor and IM skimmer

Is there a better and/or cheaper option comparing to the ones I listed above?

I have an IM Nuvo 40, and bought one of IM's "midsize" equipment pack off of eBay for two hundred bucks a year ago. The equipment is okay, but nothing spectacular; the skimmer in particular is a disappointment, and unless IM has revamped its unit, the ghost skimmer is at the bottom of the pack for me in performance: I have three other types of skimmers on other tanks, and they all work better (and have a larger trap for the skimmate). The reactor is fine; my IM UV light broke in two after a month of use. It did take care of an algal bloom for me, so there's that, but it wasn't particularly sturdy.

I'd take a look at the used market and join some local facebook groups -- you can get some dazzling deals there. I'd also phone up Fragbox and ask them for advice -- they're really helpful.
