Just purchased a Waterbox Infinia Reef 150.4. Looking for suggestions for return pump brands as well as sizes to take a look at. Going to be 99% LPS in this tank if that makes a difference. Price really isn't a problem. Good customer service is a must!

What is the head height in your setup? This is the distance from the pump to the top of the tank. And it is important as it impacts the turnover rate of water in the display.

If you choose an undersized pump, it may not even be able to push water up to the tank.

Most all return pumps will work ( ecotech, jebao, sicce ) If you have the extra $$, get a backup return pump. Good customer service is your own when things go south since most will ask you to send it in for service.

Hi @MitchK not sure if you already picked a pump. Check out reef octopus varios line. It's what I'm going with for my infinia 150.4. I also considered the Sicce SDC pumps. These were my top 2 choices. Reef octo won out for the small detail that it fits in the hydros ecosystem that I am building.

i have the wb 125.4 and im running the reef octo varios 6. there are 5 speeds and im on the 2nd speed, very strong pump. id say varios 6 would work on your tank sz. but if you want more for future usage.. go with the varios 8. they are extremely quiet with added emergency shutoff float valve.

I have 4 new sicce sdc pumps well over 1000$ and have extra sdc6 pumps one was dead after 6 months and they constantly have flow issues for me I've used them for over 3 year including the newest versions available now.

they have given me issue, I will not be going with them again in fact I will be replacing all 3 pumps currently in operation which is a sdc9,6,7

I am interested in the answers and experiences of everyone also looking for return pump recommendations.

I was thinking about reef octopus, I love their DC pumps I have two skimmers with the DC controller and float switches, but their pump has been great and quiet.

good luck on this!!
