hello all I need some help with my return plumbing. I'm setting up a sca 50 with shadow overflow. It will be a herbie style overflow with a 1/2" pre drilled return line next to it. Below are pic of the bulk head I just got from BRS. I'm not sure how or what I would use to plumb this to my return pump? Any pics and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also what side does the rubber seal go on ?

The gasket goes on the flange side of the fitting. Whether or not the flange is in the tank depends upon your plumbing setup, though I'd wager that the vast majority are set up with the flange in the tank.

Also, I've never gotten a strange look from the folks at Lowe's/HD when I'm test fitting parts.
