Going to take the plunge and build a stand.
Tank is 36x18 - 65g, and a 20cube sump - 25g.

I wanted to do a plywood stand to increase bottom cabinet space, but I worry about stability, esp since most people do the rocket design.

So my worry is being off on level, any tips? It will sit on carpet.. Idk if maybe I should just get metal wood joints. Or I can buy those corner clamps to help straighten stuff. My last project getting the corner legs perfect 90 and super tight was difficult alone. It worked but it’s not holding a fish tank.

Then I keep thinking I’m over worrying considering all the mdf “tank stands” I’ve seen online.

Do a search on youtube for ADA style stand for some ideas using plywood. 65g will be no problem at all for plywood if built properly. Also make sure you high quality plywood and not MDF or OSB.
