Thanks. Should I turn white on 100% as well? Or just a little? I thought I read white can grow hair algae before.IMHO, there's no reason to keep the white off. Any color spectrum for fresh water tanks will grow algae. Running a purple spectrum makes it harder to see what is going on in a refuge. I run a T5 6500k light for my new refugium and ran a fresh water spectrum LED in my other sump.
I would all the way. Your light is not all that powerful and you need all the light your can muster. In the white light, there will be green and red in the spectrumThanks. Should I turn white on 100% as well? Or just a little? I thought I read white can grow hair algae before.
Any algae in your sump is out competing the display. Just pull it as it grows.Thanks. Should I turn white on 100% as well? Or just a little? I thought I read white can grow hair algae before.
OK, thanks for that. My thing with hair algae once it starts growing in the refug and I pull it, the small strands go up into the display tank and then it spreads like wildfire in my past experienceAny algae in your sump is out competing the display. Just pull it as it grows.
