I have my ReefMat set to an advance rate of 0.8 - 1 inch when the water hits the sensor.

However, I've noticed that it's only advancing 0.1 inches a few times per day. Any ideas? The app doesn't mention that anything is jammed..

This might seem obvious, but did you double-check that the revised amount was saved? You can also click on manual advance in the ReefBeat app to verify how much it's moving forward.
