While making some RODI water I spilled a bit on the carpet and my 3 year old got her janitor kit out and placed a wet floor sign on the carpet next to it. Reefing is much more difficult and also much more rewarding with crazy toddlers to enjoy and work around constantly. I don’t know how many toys and plastic balls I’ve found in my stand through the last year.

anyone else with any good stories? This is classic 609D0CCC-EFDD-44D2-A117-8D0B10ED37BC.jpeg

Haha that's great! I just had my four year old help squeeze some Reef Nutrition ROE into the 10 gallon to help me feed the clownfish...Let's just say she added a liiiiiitle more than I intended. The tank looked like a snow globe. :grinning-squinting-face:

I just posted this in another thread but here it is.

So I was cleaning the back glass, you know, to make the tank look nice before I get these new corals.

Magnet scrapper, stretching to reach the middle, I also had a siphon hose going to the filter sock in my sump sucking out anything I scraped away.

I heard a splash splash, giggle giggle, my two year old pulled the hose out, jumping in a puddle of water. I lost over 5 gallons before I knew what happened!

And that's why I always run carbon, and keep mixed saltwater and RODI water on hand. Backup equipment and battery powered shop vac. If you can think it, it could happen.

Gotta love em, I'll finish the tank after she goes to bed.:zany-face:

Had my 3yo twins put a couple oreos in the planted FW tank, thank goodness it wasn’t the reef tank. When I asked why they said the fish get dessert after they eat too.
Oreos I am dying

That's awesome! My 2 year old likes to "help" with mine, but unfortunately that entails just trying to grab everything lol. He comes out to feed them everyday with me though and then watches them eat for a while
