Hello there,
My name is Muhammed Engec I am 20 years old I started the hobby about 2 years ago and I guess you can say I got a little addicted. I would like to welcome everyone to my build thread on the Red Sea Reefer 750XXL. I was one of the few who preordered it the day first day it came out. It took a long time for the pukani rocks to cure so it might seem like I am a little late to the game however I have a lot to show you so please enjoy.

Tank: Red Sea Reefer 750xxl
Return Pump: Since Syncra 9.0 for now until the Vectra l1 comes back in stock
Skimmer: Nyos 160
Lights: (3) Radion gen 4 pro
Refugium light: Kessil H380
Rock: Pukani
wave maker: Maxspect Gyre 250
Controller: Neptune apex

LFS: All equipment including tank was brought from Aquarium Specialty they also did service my tank as far as leveling and aquascaping the tank and they did a great job. please go check them out. I am happy to have to have them as a local fish store however they offer shipping as well for those of you who are interested in their stuff and live further away. You will pretty much find anything in the store as far as high end products and even live stock. http://www.aquariumspecialty.com

Lid: lid was made by Mark Vince you can check his page out on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/ReefTops/

control center: The Acrylic Panel in the electric cabinet was made by Mark Levenson at https://www.facebook.com/melevsreef/

Very clean setup, thanks for sharing. What did that tank-lift device cost to rent? Who offers that type?

Thanks They are called hand winch or duct lift the price on them vary from size to location and for how long you need to rent it out for . I got the smallest size which was 8 ft and the weight limit was 400lb the bigger the lift the more weight u can put on it. This particular one runs for 30$ for 4 hrs or 50$ for one day at Sunbelt Rentals in Columbia Sc location. They also have them at few home depot rental locations and I’m sure your local rental shop as well.

What do you think of the Radion's? I hear from the latest gen, the extended bulb makes the light visible from a sitting position which can be quiet annoying.

Amazing looking build. Let's see the plumbing in the sump! :D

I love the radion for only playing with it for 5 min lol. I’m trying to keep it off while the tanks has it’s cycle. It didint bother me I don’t know how the previous gen looks in person but I don’t mind it from a sitting position.

The water got super cloudy because I turned on the gyres for the first time.

Thanks for the pics! What do you think of the Nyos skimmer? I was looking at putting that in my new build, but there aren't many reviews out of it yet.
I haven’t turned it on yet waiting for cycle to finish however as far as build quality this thing is a tank. Check out melevs reef on YouTube he has a 32 min review on this beast.

Great build so far! Looking forward to seeing it develop.

First thing I thought was, "I hope that thermostat can be relocated...". ;-)
It can, how come you say that though?

hahaha yeah it’s a bit of an eye sore. I’m sure there is covers out there as far as security and it can protect it from water as well.

It's nothing horrible - just that the tank (and the area around it) will run warmer than the rest of the room. Which means that your thermostat will pick up that the room is (for example) 80F when it might only be 72F. I'd guess that it could be adjusted to account for that, but it may take some fiddling with...

In any case; not something I pointed out to take away from your great progress so far! Thanks for sharing and looking forward to more.

This is my big fear with the Gen4s. That said BRS has a video showing diffuser panels that are said to come out soon which will stop this as well as some of the disco effect

Nice build!

Pretty similar to my plans. That Nyos skimmer is on my Christmas list for sure. Curious to see how it does.

What are your stocking plans?
Yeah I’d definitley recommend it as far as what people have told me about them. I my self never turned it on yet but I will in a few weeks. I will update on a review on that when the time comes.

Tangs and tangs and some more tangs lol I wish. The options are endless. Probably yellow tang and a purple tang. Few wrasses, sand sifting goby, chromis, and a clown fish pair but that’s just guessing I always say one thing and put something else in :)
