I saw two videos on these from Reefapalooza. Reefbrite says that they put out the same spectrum and colors as the VHO bulbs which IMO are second to none as far as looks. I know they are too new for anyone to have tested or even see for that matter (they weren’t running them on a tank filled with water in the video). However as far as the data shows does this make sense? I don’t want to purchase them to just return them. I currently run AI blades for supplemental lighting to my Neptune Sky, they’re ok, just another LED strip. Here’s the info from reefbrite’s site.

The Ultra Actinic features a new Violet channel along with our signature Blue channel. The Ultra Actinic promotes photosynthesis, and fluorescence, enhancing the color in corals, invertebrates and fish. Users can adjust the spectrum including the color, between our popular standard Blue channel and a newly added Violet channel independently with the included inline dimmers.

Thanks,

Adam

As much as I believe one can match spectrums between sources to a degree ( there will always be the green spike) I find that a bit misleading with its 495 and 445 peaks.
Spectrum of the vho...which peaks at 420-ish.

Are you saying it won’t look the same because of the greens it’s missing?
