Reef viewing, orange film on glass

Ok, so typically we use orange/ yellow filters in photography. I like the look thru these filters and am not able to replicate it adjusting lighting. Has anyone applied a tint film to the aquarium glass? If so what product was used?

Considered it a few times, tagging along.
Maybe a large acrylic sheet with hangers to attach and remove as when tank lighting is white the orange tint would look weird.

I too had though about trying this but began to wonder if the mag algae scrapper would tear it up.
