Who was responsible for getting you into the hobby?
An old friend of mine from the beach talked me into it a few years ago and I've been doing it ever since. I've been through a few tanks since then. Taking a break from things for now until we purchase our new home. Then it's on again...

How long have you been doing this?
I'm not sure really, at least 5 or 6 years. Maybe 7. I really don't remember and that's probably a good thing.

Who or what in the hobby most influences/inspires you?
Seeing the SPS tanks that were coming out of Germany a few years ago and the style of some of these Japanese freshwater tanks. I liked their concepts on aquascaping and kind of went with it from there. I also get motivated by seeing other hobbyist tanks do well and mature into beautiful systems.

What are your future plans for improvement/upgrade of the tank?
I plan to take the tank down and set it up in the new house along with a much larger shallow system. This one might go in the kitchen area.

Final Thoughts?
Keep it simple and fresh. Don't be afraid to expand within your hobby and try things. Ask questions and be cautious of gimmicks that will never work. There are quite a few in this hobby today, but I still believe even they can help innovate and pave the way for new ideas. Take care!

Congrats! Your tank is actually what inspired me to go with two rock islands for my recent 125gallon build.
