I no longer need this skimmer. It's been the best skimmer I have owned so far. This thing is AMAZING!! Look at the skimmate pic below. That's one of the two collection cups, after only 2 days running.
It's basically 2 skimmers in one, even with individual pumps. I will put a pic here, but I can't find a link to the exact skimmer online. The difference in the one pictured and the one for sale is the pumps. The ones in the picture are about half the size of the ones for sale. They did (before they covered with coralline algae) say Reef Octopus on them, and both are needle wheel pumps that measure about 3" square by about 5" long. I guess Reef Octopus started putting cheaper pumps on these so they could cut the price WAY back. The new model sells for $170, but this one sold new for about $350.
This is an awesome skimmer for somebody that doesn't have a sump but still needs some big results from a skimmer. The price may sound high, for a HOB, but the pumps would cost more without the skimmer.
I will give a guarantee: IF YOU DECIDE IT'S NOT WORTH THE MONEY WITHIN 10 DAYS, YOU CAN BRING IT BACK!!
