say, does anyone know the led specs for the v1 ?? have some leds I might try to replace on my light...
seems the 4500 whites some are out at 10% but come on at higher %, also many of the blue look brownish / burnt, but still light.. guessing those would need replacement also..
thanks for your time

Browning is generally caused by impurities in the primary or secondary lens causing discoloring due to the intense photon flux energy.

So could be the led could be the secondary lens or both.

As to the leds themselves I'd wager that the gen 1 used the black box "bridgelux egg" type leds.
If so the fix should be relatively easy. Just buy a bunch of cheap "3 watt class" leds off flea bay and replace them.
$2 for 10 ..

You need to examine the board.

got ya... much appreciated.. here is one of the blue discolored ones up close... looks to be under the outside, so not something that can be wiped off and needs replacement??

some of my white are out at 10% but come on at higher %... would the assumption be that the led is bad, or more chance the solder joint, or board trace ?? just trying to get a game plan... like its best to replace all 4500 that don't light at 10% , and replace all 450 that are discolored ?? or am I better off replacing everything on the board ??

didn't plan on replacing the light, then noticed moon lights wonky, dim and blinking on one side.. looked closer and seeing this... sigh... lol they are old for sure. only things i keep are frogspawn, hammer, and boatloads of rbta... not all by choice...

thanks so very much for your time, I greatly appreciate it..

People have peeled the led lens off. Technically, probably best to replace it,.
If it lights its not "bad" .. ;)
LEDs fade over time, again cheap to replace.

Considering the age and environment anything is "possible".
From the pic the board looks good. Not sure of the driver side.
Lots of brown leds though.

Anyways believe it is related to the Evergrow it2080

it is enclosed , like the top, and not exposed like the picture several posts below that you posted... (hope that was the question)

for the 4500 that are out, in my photo lit, there are 3 in the top 2 rows that don't lite at 10% , but will come on as the % increases...might as well replace those too,

for 450nm replacement should I go with the 440-445 or 460-465 ?? or splitting hairs ??
thinking I'll order up enough 450 and 4500 ones to replace them all... thoughts on replacing the 420 480 or 660 ???

thanks again

looks like totals are
420- 12
450- 44
480- 12 (+6 moonlight mid ones)
660- 4
4500- 24
