Hello,
I am hoping someone can help ID this. I noticed yesterday that my blue-headed wrasse has 2 red marks on its head. The odd thing is it has two marks on the other side in the same area identical in color, size and shape making me think it'spart of his coloration and I never noticed. I never noticed until now, and that's just because he is trying to "itch" it by scraping the area on the rock occasionally, but really pretty infrequently. It is otherwise acting normal and difficult to film because it is so active. I know the attached pic is not the best, but maybe someone have an idea. I have a Waterbox Infinia 230.6 and his tankmates are a flame angel, naso tang, blue spot puffer, and 2 clowns all seemingly very healthy. I do a 20% weekly water change with ro/di water, have a fuge, and testing results have been fine. I do a scheduled water change/testing tomorrow. It's hard to get a clear picture because of how active he is. I had an outbreak of what people on here described as either velvet or brook earlier this year which wiped out everything in a day and a half. I went fallow for several months after that. I appreciate any help you guys may have!
