I want to grow Red Ogo seaweed in my refugium. Reason being, I hear its awesome to constantly have in the display for tangs to nip at all day and it doesn't add nutrients like constantly leaving Nori in the tank.
Does anyone have tips for how to grow this in a refugium? I have a Kessil H80 fuge light. Should I use bloom or grow setting? And how long of a photoperiod is recommended? I'm hoping to not have my fuge overrun by GHA like I have in the past when trying to grow chaeto.

I have grown red ogo under a few different light. I tend to recommend full spectrum/planted aquarium spectrum for macros so whichever setting on your light is closest to that. Also, may be worth dosing ChaetoGro by Broghtwell. Probably not necessary, but I do think it helps with macro algae growth.

FYI this is also what Ryan from BRS and his team are using now for macroalgae

Specifically they like the Kessil tuna sun and say it outperforms everything else
