RectorSeal T plus 2 / pvc thread sealant safe to use right away?

Hi everyone, I'm adding a WYE check valve to my return line. Wondering if Rector Seal T Plus 2 is safe to use right away on my threaded fittings? I know it is safe for potable water but not sure if it needs to cure or anything. My 40g tank has 1 clownfish. Thanks for any help.

That should be good to go immediately after assembled.

What about the old thread that has rector seal? how can I clean it to apply new rector seal
