I have a mostly sps dominated tank now. Those dam sticks have taken over thanks to how beautiful they are. But I need to make a better shelf and want to get a bunch of new rock. Do I have to cure the new reef rock that comes dry and purple or do I need to go thru and cure it all over again?? I don't want to tear down half my reef and add it to have everything die off...

I've added dry rock a few times to my tank. Adding a small amt doesn't seem to cause issues. Adding a moderate amt will cause a cycle and for me that included cyano. What is small and moderate? Depends on your tank size and opinion.

I have done the same, added small amounts of rock with no issue.

Look for some at BRS,I think they sell 2 or 3 different types,, form colored epoxy to hydrostatic cement.
