My issue is if that's your white and it's under 5000k it's going to grow a lot of algae until the corals can compete with the algae. The lights are fine with me if they are with you but you gotta do what you gotta do, right?

It's like 4 months old and haven't seen many issues honestly even when I had 11 fish that r now all dead from velvet

11 fish dead, 50 gallon tank, no problems though my tank was good.

You do you, but fish definitely get stressed the hell out when lighting suddenly changes and with 11 fish I would bet they were pacing the tank and fighting in a tank that size.

But I wasn't there, I just know these animals come out of oceans where they typically stake claim to spaces the size of ovens or larger and migrate across entire oceans.

Just remove the blue light, it's not doing you or the fish any favors lol.

Not that it matters to the point of the thread, but how do you know it’s 50g. The dimensions look more like a 125 to me.
You're right I had some brain damage last week and confused another thread but yes it looks quite long doesn't it? Either way, 11 fish means nothing unless we know what fish and on top of that, I guess they only asked about lighting. My two cents though I agree it looks bad.

Honestly I was just curious if I missed something.

Yea I'm gonna get 2 more black boxes eventually just looks goofy rn and those r white LED and yes its a 125g. The fish death had nothing to do with the lighting or water quality it was just velvet I have 3 alive still

It will look much better with a few more black boxes instead of the regular lights. I would also recommend moving the black box higher up. It will help prevent the disco ball effect.
