I have a 125g running ats and biopellets and protein skimmer. Now my phosphates stay around .1 to .15 nitrates stay at 20 I have a moderate bio load fox face yellow tang flame angel 8 chromis 2 clarkii clowns neon goby . I feed 3 frozen cubes aday and norri every other day. Fish are fat and healthy. But why are my nutrients so high? So I took my biopellets off line ! Now after two weeks nitrates are at 5 and phosphates. .00 why would the biopellets cause the higher nutrients I am confused. I started it because my nitrates were through the roof.

I cannot think of a good reason why the biopellets would elevate nutrients, but at the moment, I'd do something to get the phosphate above 0, if you think it is accurate. lol

Perhaps detritus was collecting on them?
