So I’ve had this six line in my 40 reef for several weeks now
Parameters
Salinity- 1.026-27
Ph- 8.2-8.3
Nitrates-0
Nitrite 0
Ammonia- 0
Calcium, Mag, Alkalinity all good
I’m starting to notice white spots/ filaments (not ich) all over my six line. What makes this interesting is that there will be a different spot every day? One day there’s a white filament on the fin, and today it’s on the top of his body? I have ruled out anchor-worm because the ends of the filaments do not have a split like appearance? I’m very familiar with all marine illnesses, parasites and bacterial infections and it seriously doesn’t look like anything I’ve seen before. Like I said I know the picture will make it look like it is ich, but I promise it does not have the appearance of ich or velvet at all when you see it up close in person. I wish I could get better pictures. If anyone has any ideas of what it may be please let me know.
Also eating normal, and very active I apologize the pictures are not the best
