I have had my mushroom rock for about a month or so now and this randomly piped up. At first sight I though it was aptasia but over the last week I am not so sure. Any thoughts?

What’s the best way to get rid of just one small one before it starts up?

So just take the 3 mushrooms as a loss and get rid of the rock?

I'd remove the rock during a water change and in a separate bucket of water hit the aiptasia with kalkwasser paste, aiptasia x, etc. Then after it retreats in the hole cover it with a generous amount of reef glue. Doing this outside of the tank will help in not causing an outbreak. I would not throw the rock away, those are pretty mushrooms:D

No, dont toss the mushrooms. I think @Lovemyreef2015 was just saying remove the rock to kill the aiptasia. It can be easier to kill them out of the tank (for example, some people fill the hole they aiptasia is in with super glue.
With aiptasia any small amount that is left behind will create new ones. Plus when they are threatened, they will release more into the tank.

Thank you for the advice! My next water change comes in a few days and I will do that. Thanks again. Will update.
