Hey! Got a question about my Coral Beauty. I got him Thursday from my LFS. He just came into the store on Tues. The LFS owner dips his new stock and they spend the first couple of days in QT with copper. Anyway, I noticed a small mark on his face on Sat. Today it is larger. He swims around fine and eats well. He is best friends with a Foxface and I know they sting. He also hides in my scape and I can tell he sqeezes in there pretty good. Could it be him scraping his face on corals or a Foxface sting? There is a small amount of white on his fins, but nowhere else on his body. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks

Clearer pics would help.
It could be the result of 3 things:
Bacterial infection - likely if it’s rapidly spreading
Injury - would cause damage but unlikely to get larger unless infected
Head and lateral line erosion (hlle) - damage occurs over a rather long period of time

Is the fish acting off at all? Is it still eating? What are your params?
