1. You should Quarantine all fish, especially Tangs
2. You should introduce tangs into the Display Tank at the same time to reduce hostility
3. Likely need to quarantine them together
Question: How big a quarantine tank do you need?

I have a 180G DT and plan on 3 tangs. I have a 20G QT. No way I can put 3 tangs in there for a month. So do I buy 2 additional QTs for one-each (and place them side by side so they get use to seeing each other) or do I buy one very large QT tank?

This might be one where I need to seek out a seller that provides a QT service.

Thoughts?

I quarantined two tangs, a trigger, and three bengal cardinals together in a 20L. the tangs and trigger were approx 2.5 inches each. I ended up moving the trigger to a separate 20 because she had a problem with (not) eating.

Can't say they were happy but everyone got out unscathed and healthy

I use a 55 gal tank. Powder Brown and white tail bristletooth in QT right now along with a tailspot blenny. I used eggcrate to divide the tank down the middle. So far so good.

I think a tote would also work the same way.
