I've set up a QT tank a couple of weeks ago for any new fish to go into my display tank. Now my question is should I be running this tank 24/7 along with the display tank. I've been cycling the QT tank with water from the main tank. Should I do fresh salt water changes weekly too? Along with testing? What treatments should I be giving new fish in the QT IF any or should I just observe the fish for 4 to 6 weeks and treat as necessary? Should the light be on at all in the QT? Or just when fish in there. Should I put new corals in here too and do coral dips separately

Wrote this ages ago about QT:

I would always start with fresh water and use Bio-spira and marine pure blocks to start a new QT. I did use copper though, but didn't have issues.

I QTed a ton of fish btw :)

Always got them eating, even the picker straight from the diver ones.

The protocol most follow on here.
Water changes should be done as needed, just make sure to redose any meds proportional to how much water was taken out.
