I got a purple tang over the weekend. He is a good size, about 4-5 inches. Amazing healthy fish. Only issue is he LOVES nori so much he keeps ripping the clip off and that keeps falling on my corals!!! Anyone have a suggestion for a heavy duty clip??

This would solve the issue of the trigger ripping it off and it floating around the tank .
Is it magnetic ?
Yup, magnetic. You can see the magnet @ the end of the clip.

This one is. That’s what I use and I really like it as you can move it up and down and not have to put your hands in the water.

Does yours pop open unexpectedly?
It used to until I figured out the 'sweet spot' on how much nori to fold and load. I use one sheet folded and that's it. My nori sheets are 8" by 8".

Yeah that’s by the best one I’ve used as well. I just told the nori up like 3 or 4 times and put it on clip. I have 6 and 7” tangs that can’t rip it off. More importantly the clip stays in the glass.

I just suspended the Nori clip on a fusing line. Just at the water surface. He won’t be able to break the line and this keep the snails and sea urchin from eating it. I have a smart abalone that just know where the Nori clip it. He will munch on this clip unless i suspended it so he can’t get to it.
