I've got a filefish that cleaned up a frag tank that was in bad shape with aiptasia. Problem is that he and a goby are in there alone, and feeding them doesn't seem to keep him happy. He eats, but still has begun to nibble on some zoas. He didn't do this before he ate all the aiptasia, since he prefers eating it.

Im going to have to loan him out, sell him, or something. I simply can't keep feeding much into this frag tank because detritus is an issue already.

Anybody interested in this guy?

oops...if deemed necessary, this can be moved to the for sale section, but it may be more of a helpful thing for somebody wanting to get rid of some aiptasia. whatever mods deem best is fine with me..

This guy will probably be fine in a mixed reef tank, as long as you feed once or twice a day. I know the one in y 220g display hasn't yet touched any coral....but I usually feed at least one a day. In the frag tank though, where detritus is already a problem, I don't feed as much. I have, for now, put this guy into my refugium. It's the only place I have aiptasia, and there are a couple nice big ones for him to much on. :) Let me know if you want to buy this guy, or just borrow him for a while to take care of your apitasia problem. Good thing about it is if you buy from a store and he goes right after a coral, you're stuck with him. Borrow him from me and if he acts up, you can just bring him back.

Eddie, I'd probably sell him for $35, pretty easily... :) But I can loan him to you and let you see how he works for you if you want...

I'm just hoping I don't get another outbreak, but I guess if I do, I can go buy another one. It's the "leather jacket" filefish, and not a really big one.
