Bought a new protein skimmer for my 30 gallon. It’s a Bubble Magus QQ1… it keeps overflowing and there are lots of micro bubbles coming out of the bottom… anyone know how to fix this?

Yes to what ryan said. You need the long screw that threads into the center hole. Screw it in to snug, then tighten or loosen by small adjustments till you get it right.

Also, make sure the sponge/bubble trap is in place.

Also, break in time can be a couple of days And every time you take the cover off, like to clean it, you can have bubbles for a while.

I have used one, it really works well, it just takes a bit of patience and fiddling with.

Lift unit slightly and see if the bubbling reduces. If so, it may be in too deep of water and you will have to shim it to elevate it a little
