I had bought this Apex three years ago with plans to start a new reef system but plans fell through. I am in the process of setting up my new reef now so I pulled it out from the box. I see the probes (blue and red), the little capsules are dry. Will this be okay with a cleaning?

Nope. If the filament goes dry they are kaput. That said, I have 2 used Apexes. I bought the pH probes off Amazon (Milwaukee Instruments) for $40 each instead of the super expensive Neptune brand. Work just fine.
