Pretty new to the hobby, can anyone tell me what this growth/wound is on my long tentacle anemone?

Been in the tank for about 4 months now, happily accepting food all the while, then a few days ago I noticed this weird cyst-looking growth on it's column. It's foot is attached to the inside of a conch shell that he shares with half a dozen dartfish. anyone have any idea what it is/what could cause it?

No, splitting is usually right down the middle and happens pretty much over night.
