i bought 3 peppermint shrimp from my lfs about 3 mnths ago. 2 of them are know very full of eggs. me and my wife would like to keep as many as the babys a live as possible but are not very familiar with rearing the shrimp/eggs after there laid and hatched. was pondering putting the 2 females in my macro algae planted refugium to give there eggs and young a better chance at life(refugium is 40g). any help/advice on feeding and what i should do is greatly appreciated

The chances are slim that you will be able to raise them. My cleaner shrimp are pregnant all the time, but no babies have survives. They need a special food and a safe haven from all predators to have a chance...

The amphipods in your fuge will most likely eat all the eggs. For success you need a bare tank and can feed them flake food and brine. They are omnivores and will eat anything that wont eat them first :)
