I have a 32.5 x 15.75 x 15.35, 32.5 gallon mixed reef. I have mostly LPS and softies, but am hoping to get into some SPS. I was thinking about getting a pair of the Jebao SLW 10s, but it seems like too much flow (max of 1056 each). So I started looking for the next size down, but I couldn't find one. Would the SLW 10s work if I just turned them down a lot? And if not, what's a good alternative? Thank you!!

Would the jebao be able to go that low, or do I need to get a different one?
Jebao RW-4 would meet that flow category and is adjustable

A pair of SLW 10s would be perfect, and they are adjustable down to a pretty low flow rate.

I have a 10 and a 20 on a 55 gallon and am going to replace the 10 with another 20.

If I got that one, would I need or should I get two, or would 1 work?

Do you know how low (as in gph) the SLW 10s turn down to?

I would get two for better coordination, and elimination of dead spots. If you are getting into SPS (so am I!) then they will need flow.

GPH is a measurement that I personally find problematic. For example, what’s the GPH of an SLW-10 on lowest setting and sine wave mode? In practice it’s barely noticeable flow, so I’m guessing maybe 100 GPH.

Even if you cranked it to maximum and constant mode, it’s a laminar flow device so it’s spraying this little jet into 30 gallons of water that quickly dissipates. IMHO it’s more about how the device moves water, not it’s flat out GPH rating. It’s not a pump moving water through a fixed diameter tube.

You can always go with a cheap constant flow wavemaker and the hygger mounted opposite side. With the hygger wave function is will still give a wave motion even with the other being continuous flow.
