As the title states, I'm second-guessing my pump selection.

I purchased a Sicce Pro 1500 and a Sicce Pro 800. The 1500 is going to power my lifereef skimmer. The 800 is going to plumb a manifold return that'll feed my algae reactor and calcium reactor.

I have a Varios-6 that will be my dedicated return pump.

I'm toying with returning the Sicce pumps and replacing them with a Varios-6 and a Varios-2.

My worry is that the Sicce pumps are going to be louder than I'd like and the Varios pumps will be quieter.

Which ones do you have?

I have the Syncras. I use the 2.0 on one tank and the 3.0 on another. Both are super quiet, the only noise I actually ever notice is the vibrating from them touching the glass of the sump which is more of a problem on my end when it comes to placement rather than the pumps.
