Just like the title says, how much flow do you run through your return pump and back to the display tank. There are a number of opinions on how much GPH you should (or shouldn’t) run through your filtration systems, but really for this poll, I’m just interested in how much flow, in approx. GPH after head loss, you return to the tank.

Also - In the comments below, tell us what size your tank is and how many outlets the flow is split into. And if you would like, tell us what kind of return pump you are running and if you have a sump or an all-in-one.

You are Missing 300-400

330gph monitored with apex 90 gal with a total volume of 120. One return
Darnit - I looked that that for like 10 minutes and knew there was one missing but could not find it - LOL.
Thanks for pointing it out - I added it but now it's out of order... At least it;s there for those that need to select that one.

I maybe run a little too much, 55 gallon tank a 39 trigger sump with a sicce 7 rated at 1900 an hour wide open. I think it is most likely running about 1000 an hour.
that is a lot of flow - depending on what you're keeping in the tank, it's probably just what you need - how many returns is that flow split into?

just one return and a gyre on the other side, have a few sps and it has taken awhile but finally the zoo's are used to the flow, and multiplying

Roughly 850 gph in my 200dd. Only one return line. Any more flow raises the water level above center bar due to the lackluster corner overflows. I don't mind however as 850 gph flow through the sump seems about as fast as I would like. I do have 2 250 gyres and a jebao powerhead in the display.

1,375, plus or minus, on a 450 (400 actual gallons of water). So nominally tank turns over thrice an hour. Sump is in the basement, so return line is maximized for net flow - 1 1/2" flex PVC with one flow meter and two 90 degree elbows only with a single output firing directly down behind my rocks. Plenty of powerheads and a CL fir in tank flow. Main pump is an external Panworld 200.

240 gallon DT 55 gallon sump running 2 Sicce Syncra SDC 9.0 at 56% each ( one on steady flow, one on Sharp Break mode ) so approximately 2500 gph total from sump into 4 line locks at 3/4” each.
