I've had my tank running for almost two months now. Its a 65 gallon tank with a HOB refugium filled with sea lettuce and cheato. Light runs with tank lights for now. The refugium and tank was seeded after the cycle with 1 full container each of Algaebarn's 5280 pods and Reef Nutrition Tigger pods. Per the instructions, I dose phyto nearly daily (6 of 7 days) at about 1/2oz per dosage.

Over the last couple days, my tank has gotten cloudier and cloudier. Today, I realized it was pods as my glass was covered in them. Likewise, there's tons on the rock and even more floating in the water column. From far way, the water looks okay, but up close, it looks cloudy. Per some threads I've read, I've taken a sample of tank water and let it settle out, and it does, but the glass now has a ton of pods growing in it.

Should I even be worried? I've been using some 100 micro filter pad cut to fit over the filter sock and overflow.

Current tank occupants:
Carpenter Wrasse
2x Banngai Cardinafish
Citron Clown Goby
Yasha Goby (female)
Purple Firefish
Red Pistol Shrimp
Randall's Pistol Shrimp
3x Peppermint Shrimp
Pincushion Urchin
Abalone
CUC (5x Nassarius snail, 8x blue-leg hermit, 5x cerith snail, 2x Margarita snail)

Parameters:
Salinity 1.025
pH 8.2
Temp 76.9F - 78.3F
Alk 8.21 dkh
Ammonia 0
Nirtate 0
Phosphate 0

This is just after cleaning the glass on that side of the tank.

I haven't really noticed my fish picking at the pods. I don't think my tank is mature enough for a mandarin, but it seems like it may be?

But I wanan keep my glass clean and clear :p

More seriously though, raw egg with reef roids helps "thin" them out a bit?
I have a recipe I call "21 herbs and spices." Egg and RR, one part of recipe. Raw egg like micro food, but I do add other foods to DT, for other creatures too.

In photo above there's oysters in net, 43 Pacific oysters, they act like pre-filter, natural pre-filter. In refugium
