Hey guys so I have a 75 gallon that I’m putting an overflow box on but my problem is the holes are already drilled. They’re 5 1/2 inches apart from outside to outside. So how do I find a box that has those size holes with the correct bulkheads? It was directly plumbed to the sump but it caused way too many problems. Am I screwed or will I be ok also how do I prevent it from leaking? I want to do this right the first time!!!

Know reefsynergy overflows are about 5 1/4 center to center, just measured. There’s definitely a little wiggle room either way. Would think it’d work but maybe call them and ask

You might want to check out modularmarine.com He does quite a bit of custom work. He modified my overflow and is working on some custom baffles for my sump right now. It takes some time (4ish weeks) cause I think it's a one man show but if you're patient it's probably worth it. His prices are pretty good for custom work too.
If you didn't go full overflow with an internal and external box you could have just an internal box made to order and silicone it to the glass. Same result but not removable obviously.

If you were really wanting to get it working right now you could just do the ole 90 elbow through a bulkhead with pvc pipe and a strainer on top. You could just drain it a bit when an overflow comes in.
