please help brittle stars, shrimp acclimateing

ok i have 2 brittle stars one is white and the other is red. my wife says they are the ones eating my pepperment shrimp. they are both about 16" they are very big never had the eat any fish or any thing else tho but my shrimp only live about 2 or 3 weeks and than their gone. pH 8.2 alk 8-9 cal 420 temp 78 salinity 1.024 please help im going to buy more pepperment shrimp saturday or sunday. aiptasias are geting very bad in my tank. thanks any input would help

copperband for aptasia

you try a copperband fish for the aptasia? It worked wonders in my last tank. Much better than the peppermint shrimp.

no i have not tryed a copperband yet, all ways been worryed it would pic at my soft coral and lps. i was able to catch the red brittle star last night i put it in my refugium. but it is only a make shift 10 gallon. i put some rock in their so it could hide. has any one else hade any truble out of brittle stars?

ok here we go i bought 2 more pepperment shrimp their about 1"1/4" long their good sized ones. i am drip acclimateing them right now i have took some pics i will post them latter on.
