Four years ago I sold my 120. I miss having a tank and I'm planning a new tank.

I was considering a Red Sea Reefer, but I think I've decided on the Waterbox instead. I chose Waterbox for 2 reasons.

1) I don't like the float switch ATO on the Red Sea. I don't trust float fucntionality. I know some people have been turning them into Fuges, which is a great idea, but I also don't want to have an external ATO resivoir.

2) I like the footprint better. The 36" Water box is 23" front to back and the RSR is only 21". I really like the deep demensions. I feel it just adds an apportunity for more aquascaping.

Here is what I have planned right now for parts for my 100.3
Lights - Kessil AP700
Return Pump - Varios 6
Skimmer - Bubble Magnus 5 Curve
Rock - 80lbs of BRS reef saver rock
Sand - 60lbs Tropic Eded mini flakes

I still haven't decided on wave makers yet. I love all the fuctions on the Vortech's, but it bothers me that you can't aim the flow. I've considered Gyres, but sounds like they aren't reliable and loud. Chances are I will end up with some controllable Tunzes.

Always happy to hear thoughts and advice.

Ben

Sounds Great Ben!
Have you decided on what type of reef you are going to keep? Following along and looking forward to seeing your aquarium come to life!

I'm always a fan of a mixed reef. I had a 120 5 years ago. Sold it and I'm sad.

Just sold a Red Sea Reefer 450 because about to move and researching Waterbox 100.3 as well. Probably go with a Radion Pro, GHL, or Orphek. Waiting to see the build [emoji106]

Forgot to add that the ATO setup on Red Sea is balls. I had to get a Tunze ATO and 10G reservoir.
