I dropped my new snail in and then my near 3 inch pistol ran out and drug him in.. That son of a gun!!!!!!!!!!

I should have dropped him farther from the burrow so he had a chance to anchor down..

Please send good wishes for my snail.

Edit: they are actually Spiny Star Astraea snails. LFS didn't even have them labeled x(
I have heard of a rare species of turbo that is spikey. I will try to find it to confirm.

Edit: spiny tectic turbo snail, I found them forsale but I can't find a scientific name.

Sounds like you need to feed more if you got a pistol that aggressive, lol.
Actually, I think I need more rubble. I'm not sure if he eats them or he places them in the burrow somewhere for structure. I doubt the spikey snail can make it back out with the spikes...

I recently learned pistols are omnivores so I've started feeding him more seaweed. I feed the tank once a day so I can flood it and get some past the fish and into the rocks. My pistol shrimp is super active and I've had him for about a year. it is a tiny tank so it's hard feed more often.

The clowns are actually temporarily in holding for my 2nd tank but they are last to go in. When they are out there will be plenty more food
