Pistol shrimp is tearing up my tank

Two days ago I got a tiger pistol hi fin goby pair and I didn't think about the fact that I'm using sugar sized sand on my tank now for the past 24 hours my tank has been cloudy as hell cause he's rearranging everything

Usually once the pistol makes his lair, he will stay there for quite a while, unless you are moving the rock work around consistently.

No I leave my rock alone, I figured he would make a hole and that would be it but this thing is making holes all over the place and covering all my corals with sand.

He's still really cool tho. It's pretty big shrimp and the second I put them both him and the goby in they paired rite up

i have one too and he buries everything in the tank i just put stuff thats on the bottom on a small frag rack to make sure they arent buried. it is really cool to watch my yellow watchman hover over the pistol when hes out of the burrow.

I was shocked by my pistol shrimps earth moving capabilities. This guy does work! Pistol shrimp/goby pairs are one of the coolest things going for reef tanks, IMO.
