I have been growing a few different types of phytoplankton for a few months but I can’t reach the density of the bottle from the vendor.
Mainly Rhodomonas and T-Isochrysis

I run salinity of 32 ppt
Room temperature
1 ml f2 per liter
And around 4000 and 6500k led bulbs

I am not sure if the vendor is running CO2, but if they are that could be the reason for a smaller density

I hope anyone could help me out thanks.

I only have nanochloropsis but I run mine in 24 ppt salinity, I read on a page I can't remember anymore that that's the best, never had a crash and density seems to be better than the store stuff.

When I would culture iso I would add 3ml f/2 per gallon. I would not light it very bright. I used mars Hydro led panels. Light was close to the 5000k color but on the lowest setting. I would harvest after 7 days. It would turn out pretty dense. My issue was it kept getting contaminated. Even after bleach cleaning and water boiling my flasks. So im hesitant to culture it more since every starter culture I've had eventually grows nanno.
