So I'm confused, i looked at a bunch of different post and read didn't things. What is my phosphate suppose to me be?? Mines literally at 0 ppm. I us the saltwater master and the saltwater reef mater kits. Are they not reliable? Should I get different ones? Recommendations??

Attached are my parameters from today. Any changes need to be made??

You're doing the Nitrate test twice (NO3 is included in both test kits).

Phosphate amounts vary by tank. Seen some folks like to hover just above 0.00, an ideal noted around .04, and others keeping great systems around .14. I keep mine in a range of 0.05-0.08 without issue. You should have some, but how much depends on what you can maintain without it getting high enough to start damaging coral which I have seen start around 0.20.

Testing kit wise I personally would go digital to avoid color deception. Kits based on matching color may be between colors, your perception of color may be off, lighting during the day and night may impact it too. I hate that margin of error. Personally I like my Trident testers (Trident and Trident NP). I recalibrate with every reagent change and have tested it against my LFS store's kits and numbers match so I have accuracy. On most systems it is a complete luxury item, but it is nice to wake up every day have have my tests already run for me. I can adjust any dosing for the day based on the numbers.

Def vote for using the Hanna Ultra Low Phos tester - very accurate down where most reefers sit - under 1.0. Most other tests don't give you the granular detail when it's between 0 and 1.0

Hanna PPM Phosphate ULR checker will eliminate all the guessing. 0.03-0.08 wil satisfy SPS LPS & Softies without causing other issues trying to run it any lower or higher in a newer system
