I’m also wondering how it’s going to compare to the orphek.
The light looks good and diffuser looks well designed.
They only have 6 different colors tho.
LEDs used are:

12x Luxeon C 470nm
22x Luxeon C 450nm
4x Luxeon C PC-Amber
4x Luxeon C Cyan (490nm)
6x Luxeon UV U1 415nm
20x Luxeon V2 6500k
Having "6 colors" listed is not an issue really :)
From what I can see, all the the important wavelengths are covered with this new CoralCare. Same story with the ATI Straton. A good light distribution is also expected
I'm very interested to hear feedback from the first users of these 2 lights after let's say half a year :)

How soon is soon I would like to get a couple ASAP :)
Do I have a LFS reach out or order Direct ?

With all that's going on in the world right now, I would say to be on the very safe side you're looking at no later than June, but probably sooner. In fact, we've been running them over our big office tank for a while. Three more are on the way, two of which will be sent to a couple of lighting gurus whose opinions we respect. More will trickle in but in limited supply before the official launch. Perhaps we should give one away on R2R... what do you think? White or black?

No direct sales will be allowed for the CoralCare, so please encourage your local fish store to contact us to set up a business account if they have not already done so: [email protected].

Jeff,
What about online purchasing like Aquarium Specialty, BRS, Marine Depot and so on?

A black unit for a giveaway would be nice most people use black fixtures.

Jeff,
What about online purchasing like Aquarium Specialty, BRS, Marine Depot and so on?

I think they all will, but we won't know for certain until we let our retailer partners know we have it in stock to ship. Once we announce availability to stores, the public launch will take place about 1 week later.

A black unit for a giveaway would be nice most people use black fixtures.

My current tank has a black stand. The new one has white and it looks so clean! But you're right, black is often the more popular choice in a lot of aquarium product categories.

I'll take a black one, please! ;)

Maybe we'll do the winner's choice!

Well since it’s apparently taboo to ask estimated price for a NEW,GREAT product that’s arriving. The only way to get any answers is to be an influencer or big name to write a review. So, I have just given up on wanting or waiting for answers. Even a guess for price would have worked but it’s been ignored on multiple threads and been asked multiple times.
I went ahead and just ordered another brand of lights and have spent my money elsewhere.

Hi Jeff@CoralVue - no, don't give one away here. However, depending on what rules are allowed on the forum (and honestly I can't keep up anymore) maybe offer it up for a raffle to a charity, food bank, or whatever the company believes in to help. I'm really not sure what is a priority in today's climate but I'm pretty sure the medical community could use a couple bucks.

$10 or $25 bucks per ticket, one per person. Other than that keep up the great work.

Sounds like maybe your interest in the light wasn't that bright after all if you moved on so soon. Products take time, the world has some pretty high priorities going on right now, so honestly pricing may not be set. To request a vendor to provide something that may be wrong right now is a bit pre mature.

One thing that is mandatory in this hobby is patience. Whatever you choose I wish you nothing but the best of luck with it. Hobby on!

I don't blame you. Lots of options out there.

Actually I had a lot of interest in these lights for quite awhile. I’ve been following the information on them in Europe with what info I could find, as well been following the developments of the version 2. I have been wondering if they would even be released in the US at all to be honest, with all the other competitors. Even through all of that I have a point it becomes just excessive waste to me. I’m not expecting these to be cheap, because they are top quality. But it’s starting to crack the price level of just as economic to go back to halides and use LED strips for support for them only.
When I see a post to have a LFS inquire about an account to get the lights then I would like to believe there is a price. Am I to get my LFS to inquire about an account just to get a price for me to go, never mind that’s too much , thanks for wasting all that time? Being a sponsor/and forum participant it kind of cuts out that middle man wasted time.
I’ve got several items that are payed for and still have unknown delivery times because of current situations. Ion Director still hasn’t released yet and release extended. It had a price months ago and I was able to preorder.

I also agree there are much more important things going on in the world today. I have to worry my wife is going to bring something home from a patient and therefore exempt me from going to my job, and vice versa. I feel like I’m going to start wearing the skin off of my temple with thermometers, and who would have thought I’d need to use my plastic I use for gardening to make a decontamination / strip down clothing area in my garage instead of mini greenhouse.
