ok so im setting up my reef pi with a rasberry pi zero w. installed reef pi and got it running on the server but when i go to configure the ph probe im having issues. i set up the driver, extra ports, then connector on pin 0, and then when i go to the ph tab and set up the probe it gives me a 404 html error. not only that but then the ph tab will randomly disappear and i have to re check it and do the ole admin reload. has anyone else ran into something like this? ive been stuck for a while today. appreciate any help!

If I remember correctly one should do a reboot after changing the capabilities.
Similarly one should do a reload after the driver definitions and the another after the connector definitions, if I recall correctly.

Which pH board are you using ?

If the problem persists, it sounds like a possible databank or software corruption. I would recommend resetting the database or restoring a database backup and if that doesn’t help, a re-install of ReefPi.

I’ve tried all combinations of reloading/rebooting….I have the ph circuit that came with the robo tank system ,I’ve been using the phezo driver. Should I be doing anything with a database with set up? Maybe I’m missing something there

Cut and paste from robs doc...

3. Install reef-pi

  1. If you haven’t connected to your Raspberry Pi via SSH follow step 2.
  2. Once connected type in the following command and press enter.
wget -c https://www.robo-tank.ca/reef-pi_install_files.zip

  1. Now type in the following command.
unzip reef-pi_install_files.zip

  1. Now type in the following command.
sudo bash reef-pi_install_files/install_reefpi.sh

This will start the installation, follow the on screen instructions.

This script does the following

  • updates Raspberry Pi Operating System
  • updates Raspberry Pi password
  • prompts for hostname
  • prompts for time zone
  • enables time sync
  • installs reef-pi
  • configures reef-pi
  • generates website address to access reef-pi
  • removes reef-pi installation files
  • expands file system on microSD card

In that case you are using the wrong driver. The pHezo is meant for the AtlasInstruments circuit. Robs pH circuit is the standard „pH“ driver, if I recall correctly.

The install script that @ColoredRock posted is also very useful, since it handles a few system settings that are important for the pH circuit. It does install a slightly older version of ReefPi though, if I remember correctly, but you can always upgrade that through the UI.

I haven't had any luck there with this specific issue but if you come across something feel free to share !
Hope you got my email, have you had any luck with this?

As @ColoredRock mentioned maybe try running the install script to see how it goes.

My pH circuit does use the pH-EZO driver, same as Atlas. I also updated the install script a couple weeks ago to install 6.0.

its a bengin error. It means the dashboard is trying to show a chart for which no usage data is present. Generally this happens due to two main reasons
1) You have a graph that refers to a entity (temperature, ph or ato) that does not exist any more
2) the entity is just ceated or reef-pi is reloaded recently and the usage data is yet to be avialble (till the first check period is over))

hey everyone sorry for the delay but I was able to get this working. I reimaged the pi and when i did this i enabled ssh which i dont remember specifically doing before. I also ran robs script and everything is working great. thanks everyone for the input. For anyone interested I am doing my first resume project for a software engineering boot camp I'm in. I built a 55 gallon all in one into my kitchen island and am running a robo tank with reef pi on it to monitor the system. I'm making a site that will have a live cam and monitor all the parameters. Here's some pictures of the build
