Found him on the rock my new coral came on, took him off before the coral dip and want to know if this snail is beneficial or if it’s a bad snail. All help is appreciated!

Looks like whelk snail and fine in sump but not tank but can be nassarius vibex

It could be a bumblebee snail. I’d try to use a toothbrush on his shell and compare to online photos.

There's some discussion recently about bumblebee snails being predatory or at least the non-true bumblebees. Not sure how to ID them.
